Versatile Dog Training and Testing
What we do
Welcome to the Western Slope CO chapter of the North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association (NAVHDA), serving Western Colorado and Eastern Utah. NAVHDA is a nonprofit corporation whose purpose is to foster, promote, and improve the versatile hunting dog breeds in North America; to conserve game by using well trained reliable hunting dogs before and after the shot; and to aid in the prevention of cruelty to animals by discouraging nonselective and uncontrolled breeding, which produces unwanted and uncared for dogs.
Our goal is to help you create the best hunting partners and companion possible. To accomplish this we organize training days, clinics and share our collected organizational knowledge. We organize several levels of hunting tests which gives handlers a fixed goal to work towards and a benchmark for comparison. These test are designed to mimic real hunting situations, so you’ll continue to see the benefits of your hard work throughout the hunting season.
